How to Set Up TiviMate for IPTV in Canada

Whether you're catching hockey in Toronto or a CFL game in Calgary, you want everything working fast and without fuss. TiviMate is one of the most popular IPTV players on Android TV and Fire TV. Here is how to install it and load your subscription in about five minutes.
What you need
- An Android TV, Google TV, Android box or Fire TV device, connected to your TV and the internet
- Your Xtream Codes (server URL, username, password) or M3U URL, sent to you when you order or start a free trial
- About five minutes
Step 1: Install TiviMate
Install TiviMate from the Google Play Store (Android TV and Google TV) or the Amazon Appstore (Fire TV). If it isn't listed for your Fire TV model, use Downloader with the link on the developer's official website. Our Fire TV Stick guide shows how to set Downloader up.
Step 2: Add your playlist
Open TiviMate, choose Add playlist and pick Xtream Codes (recommended) or M3U playlist.
Step 3: Enter your details
For Xtream Codes, enter the server URL, username and password we sent you. For an M3U playlist, paste the M3U URL instead. Confirm, and give the playlist a name if asked.
Step 4: Wait for the import
TiviMate loads your channels and the TV guide (EPG). The first import can take a minute or two. When it finishes, pick a channel and start watching.
Tips
- Xtream Codes loads the TV guide and the on-demand library automatically. With an M3U link you may only get the channel list.
- If the guide looks empty, open the playlist settings and refresh the playlist and the TV guide.
- Open the TV guide to see what's on now and next.
- Aim for about 10–15 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps or more for 4K. If a channel stutters, see our buffering guide.
A note about TiviMate Premium
TiviMate has a free version and an optional paid upgrade, TiviMate Premium, sold by its developer. Any fee goes to the developer, not to us. Free players such as IPTV Smarters Pro also work with your subscription.
